Nichelle Paz, MA
Nichelle L Paz, MA, LMHP is a licensed mental health practitioner. She joined Options in Psychology in September of 2014. Nichelle attended Western Nebraska Community College and graduated from Chadron State College with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2005. She completed her Master’s degree in community mental health counseling at Chadron State College in 2010. Nichelle has worked previously at Panhandle Independent Living Services as a staff assistant and at Nebraska Department of Vocational Rehabilitation as a vocational counselor. She worked as a provisionally licensed mental health counselor and then a licensed mental health counselor at the Matthew Hutt group. Nichelle completed an internship at DOVES which serves people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence. Nichelle currently serves on the advisory board for Calico Spirit. Nichelle has served on the board of directors for Panhandle Independent Living Services and was on the advisory council for the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Nichelle enjoys working with diverse groups of people. She provides individual, couples and family psychotherapy. Nichelle approaches therapy from a cognitive-behavioral framework but is also interested in mindfulness-based approaches.
