Georgia Nelson, MSed, LMHP, is a licensed mental health practitioner with Options in Psychology, LLC. in Scottsbluff, NE. She also serves as the supervisor for treatment level foster care through Reach Out Foster Care services. This is a therapeutic foster care program that serves the panhandle of Nebraska. Ms. Nelson received her undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska-Kearney (UNK) in 1992 Magna Cum Laude. Also graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1994, she received her master’s degree in education with a concentration in community agency counseling from the same university. During this time, Ms Nelson served as an adjunct instructor for UNK teaching undergraduate psychology. For the last ten years, she has worked as a mental health therapist in the areas of adolescent and individual substance abuse, family therapy, trauma recovery and sexual abuse, issues pertaining to women, and general practice. Ms. Nelson has administrative and supervisory experience with therapeutic foster care, and has conducted a number of trainings and presentations specific to this area.
