Nicole W. Vidlak, Ph.D. has been a Nebraska Licensed Psychologist since
2003. She received her Bachelors in Social Work from Radford University
in 1991. After working for two years as a social worker in Norfolk,
Virginia, she decided to pursue her Masters Degree in Counseling
Psychology from California State University and graduated in 1996. She
then began her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of
Nebraska Lincoln. Dr. Vidlak completed her internship at Kansas State
University's Counseling Center and received her doctorate in 2002.
Dr. Vidlak enjoys working with a variety of different problems that
impact children, adolescents, adults and families. She approaches
therapy from a framework that values the physical, spiritual and
emotional needs of the individual and takes into consideration the
system in with they live, work and/or go to school. Of primary
importance to Dr. Vidlak is establishing a collaborative working
relationship with each client. She is committed to joining with clients
in their effort to gain an understanding of their problems and strives
to help the individual, couple and family to learn new skills, change
and grow.
Dr. Vidlak has experience in both the assessment and diagnosis of a
variety of mental health issues including, but not limited, to ADHD,
Autism, Asperger's Disorder and Mood and Anxiety Disorders. As with
therapy clients, it is important to Dr. Vidlak to take into account all
parts of an individual's health when forming a diagnosis and providing
recommendations.
Dr. Vidlak resides in Scottsbluff with her husband an three young boys.
In addition to hanging out with her family, she enjoys running
marathons, camping, hiking and hunting. |
