Valley
Psychotherapy is the original practice now known as Options In
Psychology, LLC. Valley Psychotherapy opened in 1986 as a small
private psychotherapy practice owned by Anne Talbot, Psy.D. who
was then practicing as a master’s
level psychiatric nurse. Valley Psychotherapy was incorporated
in 1989 as Options In Mental Health, Inc. Dr Talbot continues
to own Options In Mental Health, Inc. Dr. Talbot and Mark Hald,
Ph.D. formed Options in Psychology, LLC (OIPLLC) in August 2000.
OIPLLC is now a collaboration of doctoral level psychologists
and contract masters level therapists who have a broad range
of experience and interests offering a full range of psychological
services to adults, adolescents and children. Services provided
include psychological and neuropsychological assessment, psychotherapy
and counseling, family and marital therapy, drug and alcohol
evaluations and treatment, art therapy and play therapy, as well
as a variety of consultation and educational services.
Dr. Talbot began providing outpatient mental health services
in Scottsbluff after moving to the area from New York in 1986
with her husband, David Calkins, a native of Western Nebraska.
She is now a licensed psychologist with a specialty in neuropsychology.
Dr. Hald returned to the Scottsbluff community with his wife,
Cindy Hald, and their three children from Kearney in 1991 to
work as the school psychologist at Educational Service Unit Number
13 and area schools. He joined Dr. Talbot in 1999 after
completing his doctoral studies. Office manager, Jennifer
Leisy, began working with the group in 2000. Administrative
assistants Terri Viola and Sue Martindale joined the office team
in 2005. Options in Mental Health, Inc. included one full-time and one
part-time psychotherapist (Charlotte Ingram, LMHP) associated
in various joint ventures with other clinicians located at
115 Railway Street, Scottsbluff, NE 69361 between 1987 and 2000.
Those clinicians included Dan Scharf, Ph.D.; Charles, Howard,
Ph.D; Matthew Hutt, Ph.D, Mark Hald, Ph.D.; Laura Feagler,
LMHP; Dane Freshour, LMHP; and Alexandra McCabe, PLMHP who worked
at a satellite office in Sidney. Dr. Howard moved to Colorado
in 1992. Dr.
Hutt joined the joint venture in 1995. Dr. Hald joined
in 1997. The business joint venture was then known as Scharf,
Talbot, & Hutt Psychology Group.
Options in Psychology
was formed by Dr. Talbot, Dr. Hutt, and Dr. Hald in 1999-2000
and relocated to 1110 Circle Drive where the practice became
known as Options in Psychology, LLC. Ms. McCabe moved to the
east coast and Georgia Nelson, LMPH. joined the practice in 2001.
Dr. Hutt left to form a private practice in December 2002. Ms.
Feagler left to work at a different practice with Dr. Scharf
but returned as a full-time contract psychotherapist working
under Dr. Talbot and Dr. Hald for clinical supervision from 2002
until 2005, when she moved to New Mexico. Jane Easterly, LMHP
began her association with OIPLLC in 2003 working primarily in
satellite offices in Sidney and Bridgeport. Ms. Easterly left
OIPLLC to begin working at the Mental Health Center in Sterling,
Colorado in May 2006. Three additional independent contract therapists
began their association with Options in the last 2-3 years. Those
contract psychotherapist are Reagan Rico, LMHP at the Scottsbluff
office; Sara Klein, PLMHP: and Terry Fisher, LMHP. Ms Klein practices
in Scottsbluff, Bridgeport and Sidney. Ms Fisher practices in
both Scottsbluff and Sidney.
Options in Psychology, LLC is a continually
growing, well-established business with a solid reputation as
