Carrie graduated from Chadron State College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. In 2005, she graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Masters of Science in Education in Community Counseling. She began working towards her Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2008 and anticipates graduating from Fielding Graduate University in 2013.
Carrie has worked as a family teacher at Saint Joseph's Children's Home in Torrington, Wyoming, and as a Victim/Witness Advocate for the City of Kearney. She completed internships with Nebraska Counseling Associates in Kearney and Options in Psychology, LLC in Scottsbluff. She also worked for 5 years as a Clinical Therapist at Regional West Medical Center's Behavioral Health Unit. Currently Carrie works part-time as a practicum student at Panhandle Mental Health Center. She is also completing assessment practicum while here at Options in Psychology, LLC.
Carrie does drug and alcohol evaluations as well as psychotherapy. She tends to gravitate toward cognitive-behavioral interventions and is also interested in play therapy. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults in setting and reaching their personal goals.
