Lori Rodriquez, MSW

 Lori Rodriquez, MSW, LICSW is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker which means she is both a Certified Master Social Worker and a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. She has worked at Options in Psychology LLC since January 2011 and is in both the Scottsbluff and Alliance offices.



Lori began her career in nursing after graduating from Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) in 1998. She has worked in several different settings with a wide population of clients. She wanted to expand her education and work with clients and decided she could best do so in field of social work. Lori returned to college in 2006 and graduated from WNCC with an Associate of Arts degree. She also received a Bachelor of Arts with a Comprehensive Major in Social Work and a Minor in Psychology from Chadron State College in 2008. During that time, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received a Certificate of Merit for her work in the Social Work Department. She was also recognized for her research in the Psychology Department and was able to present her research at a regional conference.  In May 2010, she graduated from Florida State University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. She is currently working on a post-graduate certificate in Child-Parent Psychotherapy from the Child Trauma Training Institute out of San Francisco, CA and will complete the nine month training in May 2014. Lori is an approved Child-Parent Psychotherapy provider.


Lori has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings including Head Start programs, The Nebraska Boys Ranch, Boys & Girls Home and Family Services, and in the Behavioral Health Unit at Regional West Medical Center. In addition to working at Options in Psychology LLC, Lori also works as a Dialysis Social Worker with the Chadron Community Hospital. She provides supervision to social work and counseling students, and is on the Social Work Advisory Board at Chadron State College. She is a member and previous board member of the National Association of Social Workers-Nebraska Chapter and is a member of the Panhandle Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Nebraska Association for Infant Mental Health.  Special interests include children’s mental health, abuse and neglect, trauma and grief, play therapy, child welfare, family therapy, and child-parent psychotherapy.
