Hi! I am Traci Campbell, PsyD, LMHP, and I am excited to be joining the Options practice in September 2016. I am a Colorado native but have been living in Springfield, Missouri for the past 5 years while completing my doctoral degree and internship in clinical psychology. I also obtained a master’s degree in 2006 and worked in Wichita, Kansas for 3 years with children and families as part of a community mental health organization providing therapy and assessment interventions. I will be starting at Options as part of my post-doctoral training with the hopes of becoming a fully licensed psychologist during the next year. My clinical interests are “general” in that I have a variety of experiences working with adults, teens/adolescents, couples and families in a therapy setting. My therapeutic approach is very reliant on the referral question, but cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and solution-focused are among the ones I tend to gravitate to most commonly. I find mindfulness-based approaches to also be very valuable in addressing anxiety, pain and stress management symptoms. Integrated health care is an interest, as I have worked with groups of chronic pain patients as well as adults struggling with drug and alcohol addictions. My research interests are in nutrition and how aspects of diet, exercise and nutritional supplementation can be helpful in treating mental health symptoms. I am always looking for opportunities which allow me to participate in consultative work integrating physical and mental health.
